Foam Concentrate and Foam Eductors

Class A Foam Concentrate

Chemguard Class A Plus Foam Concentrate
Chemguard CA+ foam concentrate is a combination of foaming and wetting agents for use on wood, paper, textiles, wild land fires, wooden structures, and more.  It is used at application rates ranging from 0.1% to 1.0 percent.  CA+ is 3 to 5 times more effective than plain water.   The concentrate is also biodegradable, non-corrosive, and nontoxic.  (The Material Safety Data Sheet is available here.)

CA+ is FULLY APPROVED by the U.S.D.A. Forest Service as meeting ALL of the requirements of Forest Specification 5100-307.  It is a non-corrosive, non-toxic biodegradable Class A fire fighting foam concentrate.

Class B Foam Concentrate

Chemguard 3/6 Percent AFFF Foam ConcentrateChemguard C363 is a Class B, alcohol resistant, aqueous film forming foam concentrate that is designed to be used on regular hydrocarbons (gasoline) at 3% and polar solvents (such as alcohol) at a 6% application rate.  It is the "industry standard" foam concentrate.  U.L. Listed and FM approved, it is suitable for use with equipment made of carbon steel, fiberglass, polyethylene and stainless steel.  It is also suitable for use with dry chemical extinguishing agents.

When properly proportioned the user can expect an expansion ratio of 6-10:1 through typical equipment.  When used with non-aspirating equipment expansion ratios of 2-4:1 can be expected.

Akron 3095 Foam Eductor

Akron Style 3095 Foam Eductor
This is an inline, 95 gallon per minute foam eductor.  It is capable of educting at foam concentrate at rates from 0 to 6% with handy detents at 1/4, 1/2, 1, 3, and 6%.  It comes with a 30" long pickup tube.

Protek 203 Foam Eductor

Protek Style 203 Foam Eductor
This is an inline foam eductor which is calibrated to work equally well with Class A and Class B concentrates.  It can mix the concentrate with water from 0 to 6% solution.  The pickup tube is a full 72 inches long!

FoamPro 1600

FoamPro/Fire Research 1600 Foam System

Leading off the FoamPro line, the 1600 series is available in two models, differing only in capacity. Each system includes a Hypro twin plunger pump and DC (12 or 24 volt) motor assembly. Also included is a panel-mounted operator control unit with instructions, flowmeter (1-1/2” or 2”), strainer, foam injection check valve, complete shielded cable set and RFI/EMI suppression kit.

The system features fully automatic foam proportioning, regardless of changes in flow or pressure, and delivers unmatched accuracy over the entire flow range.  It proportions continuously, with no stopping to refill the foam tanks.  Click Here for additional information.

FoamPro 2000

FoamPro/Fire Research 2000 Series Foam SystemThe 2000 series is available in two models, differing only in capacity. Each system includes a Hypro triplex plunger pump and DC (12 or 24 volt) motor assembly. Also included are a microprocessor control/display unit, instruction placard, strainer, foam injection check valve, complete shielded cable set and RFI/EMI suppression kit. The system provides fully automatic foam proportioning, regardless of changes in flow or pressure, and offers convenient, push-button operation, making it the easiest system to use. LED digital readouts provide real time performance information.  The optional advanced feature controller offers “auto-on” programming which automatically arms the proportioner when the fire pump is engaged.  Click Here for additional information.

FoamPro 3012

FoamPro/Fire Research Model 3012 Foam Injection System

Extreme Class A and Class B firefighting power is at your fingertips with the FoamPro 3012 proportioner.  This versatile system delivers unmatched, supercharged performance with concentrate flow from 0.1 to 12.0 gpm at 0-400 psi, all from a single pump. High-drafting capabilities allow off-board pickup for foam operations or tank refill, which is crucial for high flow situations or when changing concentrates. Unlike other pump designs that may pause in flow during operation, the pump’s triplex plungers are timed to discharge one after the other, delivering smooth, continuous injection.  New, hydraulic pump-drive technology produces immediate response from minimum flow to full capacity. The system includes the same industry-proven, ultra-bright LED digital display used on other FoamPro 2000 and 3000 series proportioners.  Click Here for additional information.

Scotty Foam Applicator - 8 GPM

Scotty 4075-8 Foam ApplicatorThe 4075-8 is designed for attachment to a 3/4” forestry hose. For use in situations where there are water limitations. The 8 gallon (36Lts) flow rate permits an economic use of water without sacrificing fire fighting effectiveness. An ideal tool in grassland fire situations.  Will treat up to 130 gallons of water at a rate of 1%.

Scotty Foam Applicator - 50 GPM

Scotty 4075-50 Foam Applicator

The Scotty Five Litre Foam Kit, 4075-50, is designed for attachment to a fire hose. The unit provides a fast and simple solution to a fire scene where a requirement exists to combat fire with Class A foam.  The body of the unit is molded from glass reinforced nylon for strength and durability. It is also resistant to corrosion caused by seawater and foam concentrates, electrolysis and UV radiation.  Will treat up to 130 gallons of water at a rate of 1%.

Scotty Around-The-Pump System

Scotty 4171 Around The Pump Foam System

The 4171 Foam Eductor/Mixer is a simple “Around-the-Pump” unit to educt foam concentrate into the entire plumbing system of a small pump setup. It is Mounted between the discharge and suction side of a pump.  For use on portable forestry pumps or fitted permanently to skid units, the 4171 is a simple and effective way for fire departments to add a foam capability to their equipment.

The unit is adjustable, permitting various foam percentages (0 to 3.75%) at flows from 15 GPM to 125 GPM at 100 PSI. A 4171 includes the eductor, pressure hose and pick-up hose.

C & S Foam Nozzle

C & S Foam Nozzle w/CartridgesThis nozzle uses 12" Phos-Chek Class A foam sticks in a mixing chamber between the tip and the shutoff, eliminating the need for an eductor or proportioner.  A single stick can produce approximately 400 gallons of foam solution.  The nozzle comes with two foam sticks.

Available in 1" NH and 1-1/2" NH, this nozzle can be used in any situation where you need to apply Class A foam and is much easier to clean and flush after use than most other systems.

Additional sticks come in packages of three.

CSOSB-FGP12-1NST     1" Model with pistol grip shutoff and tip
CSOSB-FGP12-15NST   1-2/" Model with pistol grip shutoff and tip
SCO4010CART12PC1     Package of 3 foam sticks
