K2 Thermal imager

Flir K2 Thermal Imaging Camera

We know of no other thermal imaging camera that is built to meet NFPA standards and is as affordable as the K2 by FLIR.  However, the price is not the only outstanding feature of this camera.

The camera uses Multi-Spectral Dynamic Imaging (MSX) to provide a striking image.  Two cameras are incorporated in the design.  One camera is for the infrared spectrum and the other is a regular video camera.  Key details such as edges are pulled from the regular video and embossed on the infrared image.  This provides detail that simply cannot be produced by infrared alone.  You have to see it to believe it.

FLIR's compact design makes it light and easy to attach to turnouts. And a single large button makes the camera simple to activate even with heavy gloves on so you can start seeing your way through dark, smoky conditions immediately.

The K2 is designed for tough conditions.  It will withstand a 2 meter drop onto concrete.  With a rating of IP67 you can be sure it is protected from dust as well as immersion in water up to 1 meter deep.  The unit can also handle up to 500 degrees for 3 minutes.
